39 years ago we were on a dirt road in farm country. Today, it's a major intersection in suburbia. Many things have changed in that time, however, we haven't. Same owners, same location, and same philosophy - "DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME".

Here is what you will find if you visit us:

Our Building
- A two story farm house built in 1863.

Instruments - Autoharps, Banjo's, Bagpipes, Boombas, Basses, Bones, Button Accordians, Chanters, Concertinas, Dulcimers, Deffs, Dobros, Flutes, Fifes, Guitars, Hammered Dulcimers, Bodhrans, Hand Drums and Percussion, Harmonicas, Harps, Kalimbas, Limber Jacks, Mandolins,Orarinas, Panpipes, Recorders, Steel Drums, Spoons, Tongue Drums, Ukes, Violins, Whistles, and many more.

Cases - Hardshell, Softshell, and Carrying Bags for most instruments.

Repairs - We have on the premises one of the most comprehensive facilities on the East Coast. Over 30 machines comprising a complete woodworking shop and an adjoining machine shop. Most importantly, we have skilled people with experience and knowledge to do the work. We are also a warranty repair center for Martin, Gallagher, Goldtone, Oscar Schmidt, Taylor Larrivee, Lowden, and others.

Accessories and Parts - Entirely too much to list here. However, we have all the common strings, straps, picks, tuners, etc. Most important, we have the uncommon - Buck Adjustable Hammered Dulcimer Stands, fine quality, handmade, leather straps, all the sizes and types of banjo heads, hundreds of skin drum heads, all the materials to build an acoustic guitar and other instruments, hundreds of M.O.P. inlays, transducers, pickups, and acoustic amps.

Instruction - Skilled and experienced teachers for banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and violin. Bluegrass, Blues, Folk, Irish, Classical, Jazz, composition, and theory.

Recordings and Videos - Instructional CDs, Tapes, Videos, and complete offerings of Funkyseagull Computer CD-ROMs and Homespun videos.

Books - Hundreds of Personality, Song, Instruction, and Construction books.

Vintage Instruments - We usually have a selection of used and vintage instruments in excellent condition and repair. Our prices are fair, and we do not "over state" condition or tone. Call for current offerings.

Mail Order - We ship every day from our facility, mainly by UPS. Even though we don't have a store catalog, we can usually handle all the questions, descriptions, and procedures by phone to the satisfaction of our customers. We just shipped our twenty thousandth mail order this year! We package extremely well.

Our Strong Points - Harps, Hammered and Plucked Dulcimers, Bodhrans, Guitars, Banjos, Handmade Leather Straps, Skin Heads, Hand Drums, Book Selection, Native American Instruments, Quality Control, and Acoustic Instruments of all kinds. Most important is our knowledgeable and skilled staff (the average being a 12-year store veteran).

Weak Points - Closed Sundays, Electric Guitars, Keyboards, Band Instruments, Electric Effects, Lighting, Set Drums, Pianos, Organs, High Tech Equipment, and being the very cheapest store in the USA to find a Fender flat pick.

Our Best Attribute - Over 38 years of specializing in the same thing. Location - 25 miles North of Philadelphia, 25 miles Southeast of Allentown-Bethlehem, 8 miles West of the Delaware River.
